The U.S.Army Corps of Engineers required the removal of the 65ft scalloper Kris Schell. from the Annisquam River in Gloucester MA. Testing of the vessel found it to be contaminated with PCBs. This changed the nature of the project from a simple wreeck removal, to that of a TASCA-HAZMAT situation. It was decided to refloat the vessel inspite of its severly deteriorated condition, and haul it ashore prior to its demolition .
