New Bedford Harbor Developement Commision CAD cell 2 project Top of CAD 2
The project consisted of removing the contaminated material from the top of CAD 2 and placing it in CAD 1. The "top" material varied greatly in consistancy and as such the amount of dredge face changed constantly throughout the site. Similarly the different materials had different hold over requirements for "settling" before they could be disposed of in CAD1. Required the use of all of our 1,500 cubic yard scows to maintain constant production. Disposal in the CAD required full fore and aft DGPS/WINOPS guidance of scow push boat combinations as CAD1 was nearly at capacity and bottom elevations were critical.

All debris found on-site had to be washed in filter fabric lined containers prior to disposal.
